Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023 are the general elections to be held for all 90 seats of the Sixth Legislative Assembly of Chhattisgarh state of India , in which in the first phase, voting on 20 seats will be held on 7 November and in the second phase, voting on the remaining 70 seats will be held on 17 November 2023 and on 3 December The results will be declared after counting of votes in 2023. [1] Voting in Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023 was held in two phases on 7th and 17th November. In the first phase, 78 percent people exercised their franchise on 20 seats and in the second phase, 75.88 percent people exercised their franchise on 70 seats. In this way, 76.31 percent voting took place on a total of 90 seats. [2]


The tenure of the fifth assembly of Chhattisgarh is ending on 03 January 2024, hence before that elections are necessary for all the 90 assembly seats of Chhattisgarh. [3]

On October 9, 2023, in a press seminar organized by the Election Commission of India at Rang Bhawan Auditorium , All India Radio , an announcement was made by the Chief Election Commissioner of India , Mr. Rajeev Kumar , regarding the schedule of the upcoming assembly general elections of five states including Chhattisgarh , according to which Chhattisgarh’s Elections will be held in two phases on 20 assembly seats in the southern part on 7 November and on the remaining 70 seats on 17 November 2023, the results of which will be declared on 3 December 2023. [7] The complete schedule including dates is as follows:
